The purpose of the department is to train teachers who is sensitive to disability and needs of people with disability and who can work in the light of modern teaching techniques and scientific approaches; to put theoretical information into practice.As of the 2020-2021 academic year, the first student admission to the special education teaching undergraduate program has been registered our department. Special Education teachers who graduated from the Special Education Department are employed in public or private special education institutions that are affiliated with the Ministry of Education and related public institutions in Turkey.
